Jon Henry Could Use Our Help!

Since the beginning of 2018, Jon Henry has been in-and-out of emergency rooms and hospitals (ICU). What started out as fatigue, nausea, severe headaches and stroke-like symptoms, has turned in to countless physician/specialist visits - resulting in over 30 tests, numerous blood transfusions and a gallbladder surgery.
Most recently, Jon was transferred to the Texas Medical Center for a bone marrow biopsy where he was diagnosed with Hemophagocytic Lymphohistiocytosis (HLH). This is an extremely rare, auto immune disorder in which the body makes too many activated immune cells. Jon immediately started chemotherapy and, depending on his response to treatment, will go through an eight week chemo cycle.
Right before all this began, Jon started a new job. He was not at his new position long enough to qualify for short-term disability (STD), and is on unpaid leave of absence. Fortunately, medical benefits did begin on July 1. Life hasn’t stopped while he’s been in the hospital – and neither have the bills – personal or medical. He has a long road of recovery and medical exploration ahead. He is still unable to work and on unpaid leave.
