Help Support Johnny's Recovery

My name is Kathleen and I am writing to you on behalf of my brother Johnny, who was involved in a serious single motor vehicle accident on March 4, 2018.

When local first responders arrived on scene, they found him to be unconscious and trapped; they extricated him from his vehicle and immediately transported him to a hospital by Ornge air ambulance with life threatening injuries and in very critical condition. Johnny was in the ER for several hours to stabilize his condition, during which he also required extensive emergency treatments to revive him on two occasions. When the doctors were able to stabilize him enough, they performed an emergency surgery in order to determine the source of his internal bleeding.

Johnny has suffered many injuries including head trauma, serious trauma to one eye, c1 fracture, acl/mcl on both knees, dislocated and fractured left shoulder, perforated bowel, compartment syndrome and a stomach laceration caused by the seat belt etc... to name a few. Johnny has undergone five major surgeries in the two weeks that he has been in the hospital and both the doctors and nurses call him their miracle because they didn't think he would live.

Johnny has a long road ahead of him in his recovery. All the money raised from this campaign will go towards expenses that OHIP may not cover, medications, physiotherapy and loss of wages, as he likely will not be able to work for several months once he is discharged.
