At the age of 19 Jenna was diagnosed with Aplastic Anaemia, a rare condition in which the body stops producing enough new blood cells. Following two bone marrow transplants and all associated treatment in Melbourne she managed to beat it. Jenna went on to have two gorgeous children with her husband Brendan, Layla now 4 and Lincoln 2.
Although in 2018 Jenna was given the dreadful news that once again she had a battle on her hands, being diagnosed with Hepatic Angiosarcoma, a very rare liver cancer, which there is very little known about.
After a year of intensive chemotherapy Jenna was given the heartbreaking news that the treatment has ceased being effective and the cancer has worsened. In consultation with her specialists the only option left available is to have immunotherapy treatment at a cost of $80,000 (approx. $3,500 for each fortnightly dose).
There are significant risks associated with this form of treatment but notwithstanding that Jenna has decided to go ahead with this treatment which begins immediately.
Being a young family this is an almighty ask of them so we are organising various fundraising events to be able to assist them. We have activated this platform as a way for others who may not be able to participate in other fundraising events to assist if they wish to.
It is our aim to ease the stress for Jenna and her young family and help her to continue enjoying watching her children grow and prosper alongside her husband.
No matter how big or small your contribution, it will be greatly appreciated and will give them the freedom and space to concentrate on what really matters in life.
