Help support Jen C. & her family!

Jen isn’t normally one to ask for help, but now she needs major brain and spinal surgery and honestly has no idea how she and her family are going to get through this financially without losing everything. Their insurance will cover most of the medical costs, but like many families today they live paycheck to paycheck. Jen hasn’t been able to work in years, between her son’s disability and all her health issues, and her husband Sean has no paid time left at work and he’ll need to be off for weeks to take care of her and their autistic son. There’s no way the family can manage this financially, they’ll lose their home. It will completely ruin them.


The surgery is intense and dangerous, but Jen will die without it. Her recovery will take months, and the possible complications are terrifying. The surgery will involve removing part of Jen’s skull, the back of her first vertebra, cutting open the membrane covering her brain and installing a patch. She’ll die without the surgery, but could very well suffer a stroke or a whole list of other awful side effects from the procedure itself. And the doctor has warned that the pain during her recovery will horrific and prolonged.

Jen is one of my dearest friends and watching her go through the worry of how she's going to manage the surgery & recovery without losing everything breaks my heart for her. I can not imagine being in her position of having to chose to live or possibly lose everything you've worked for.  She's always there to offer her help when her friends are in need and now it's time we come together and try to help her as best we can.
