My sister, Shannon McCurdy, requested permission from me to establish a GoFundMe page to assist with upcoming expenses related to my somewhat recently diagnosed cancer situation. It is with great reluctance that I agreed. Shannon wrote a nice plea for your financial support during this difficult time, however, I feel it is my responsibility to present this ask to you myself, should I choose to accept said support. Therefore, I humbly ask that you contribute, with what you are willing and able to part, to this account. It will assist in financing the remainder of my stay in Los Angeles whilst receiving both radiotherapy and chemotherapy.</em>

<div><em>Approximately 1 month ago, I had a full hysterectomy to remove a serous carcinoma from my uterus (endometrial cancer). Because serous carcinomas are a rather aggressive type of cancer, I will be receiving further treatment to ensure that every last cancer cell and/or malignancy has been removed. The combination of a full hysterectomy, chemotherapy, and radiation will permit me peace of mind and some assurance of nonrecurrance of cancer.</em>
