<div><strong>**UPDATE AUGUST 2025**</strong>

<div><em>"The famine here is just getting worse every single day. But honestly, the real issue isn't just the famine itself; it's every single aspect of life during this genocide.</em>
</div>
<div>...
</div>
<div><em>Every single moment, we lose beloved ones, home, and honestly, ourselves. I no longer can recognize my old self. I never reached to this version of my self, and i can't thought I would reach to something worse than this"</em>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We are still trying to support Iman and her family, as they <strong>face starvation perpetrated by the zionist regime</strong>. Please support if you can and do what you can elsewhere in solidarity with the Palestinian people. Our governments are complicit in this campaign of genocide. We must all fight against it.

<div><br />
</div>
<div>Iman was supposed to evacuate Gaza at the beginning of May 2024. As Israel’s merciless assault on Rafah escalated, this became impossible. She and her family evacuated Rafah and have since been in Deir alBalah and Khan Younis, along with many, many others who have been displaced multiple times by Israel’s genocidal attacks. Conditions here have been extremely difficult. Access to basic supplies like water, food,
</div>
<div>and gas is extremely limited.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We are raising money to support Iman and her family, helping them to access basic needs and supplies, and to raise funds for her and others in her family to evacuate when it is safe to do so.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Please donate and share if you can!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><em>"Please tell the world that we had a land, no one stood with us to keep it! We had lives and dreams we wanted to achieve!"</em>

</div>
<div>Here is a message from Iman:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>"Hi,
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This is Iman, from Gaza Strip.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I evacuated my home in Khanyounis along with my family, and we're in Rafah now,and we are living in harsh circumstances within really high living expenses, while not working for over 6 months.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Before the war, I was working as a business analyst supporting the product team within Rasseed company, but due to the ongoing war, the work stopped. I was really disappointed &amp; frustrated, waiting for a door of hope to be open, until they reached out a week ago to tell me that they will resume work in May.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>As a result, I had to take a hard decision, to evacuate Gaza and leave my family for a while, so that I can afford a suitable environment for me to pursue my career and above all, to help my family.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>And here I am, I need your urgent support to collect the evacuation fees through the Egyptian border, it costs approximately $6000 per person.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>And never underestimate your donation، no matter how small it may seem, every pound will make a difference!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This job will be a window for me to start supporting myself and family without relying on anyone else. Your help would be appreciated!"

<div><br />
</div>
<div>I met Iman while she was studying with Gaza Sky Geeks in 2021, through online English classes we had together. We have been in contact since the beginning of Israel's genocidal assault on Gaza, through the deaths of thousands and the destruction of homes, hospitals, schools, neighbourhoods... Now in Rafah, she fears for her future and for the future of her family.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Throughout this genocidal campaign, Iman and her siblings have struggled to find the <strong>medicine </strong>her mother has needed for her lungs since having<strong> COVID</strong>, now <strong>exacerbated by the polluted air caused by the bombing they were subjected to in Khanyounis</strong>. Her parents refuse to leave Gaza; they said how could they start another life at their age. Iman's sister and her children have been in an area of Khanyounis surrounded by Israeli forces. Every day we fear for the lives of Iman and her family, like so many others being subjected to the devastation, inhumane conditions and constant attacks from Israel. <strong>We ask for your support in helping Iman evacuate and her family survive.</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We have been able to send Iman some money, but she has asked for help in setting up a fundraiser so that others can contribute.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Please share and contribute what you can to help Iman and her family. </strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><em>*We are aware the fundraiser states 'for Luke Howard' - this is my dad, whose account we have been able to transfer funds from most easily so far! We will be transferring funds directly to Iman from his account. Feel free to reach out to me via my email or social media, or the Books Against Borders account with any questions. </em>
