Dear Friends, Family, and Community, 
 
We are reaching out to you today with a heartfelt plea for support for someone very dear to us, Drew aka Tokyo Drew. He is facing a daunting battle against lung cancer, and he needs our help now more than ever. 

Having been diagnosed with stage 4 metastasized (Pleural) lung cancer in February 2024, he was scheduled for 4 cycles of chemotherapy/immunotherapy while being hospitalized (1st 28-day cycle) for the treatments in Tokyo, Japan. Due to being non-Japanese, he was forced to stay in a private room for his time in the hospital for treatments at a high cost ($400/day) without insurance coverage, as well as the medical treatment costs. 

During his 4 cycles (March - June 2024) he was on a chemo cocktail of Etoposide/Cisplatin along with an Immunotherapy treatment Durvalumab (Imfinzi) which ended in June 2024. 

He was put on Immunotherapy for maintenance in June and July with his bloodwork showing his tumor markers raising yet again. His CT scans in Aug along with more blood tests showed the worst possible outcome we could expect of which the Immunotherapy did not work and the tumors started growing back yet again. 

Drew is now back on another 4 cycles of chemotherapy (Sept 2024 – Dec 2024) with a change of Etopisoide/Carboplatin and so far he has responded well to this round of chemo but due to being in Japan and a foreigner will yet again be forced to pay for a private room (language barriers) and of course treatments, follow up appointments and more bloodwork/CT scans each month. The journey thus far has been an extremely challenging one with many obstacles getting in the way and we just want to be here for him and what he is going through with daily life, hospital life and community life. 

Drew has tried to raise funds via DonorBox, his YouTube channel and his Patreon community but we are here to ask for your kindness and generosity to reach everyone worldwide in helping this amazing young man receive the best medical treatments to help not only his survival but quality of life and that miracle we all hope for around the corner! 

For the 1 four cycles we were able to raise just enough funds to help Drew and as his community manager we are with good and transparent intentions trying to raise funds for his treatments at an approx cost of $2500-$3000/month over the next 1.5 years for a total of $45000.

Drew is not just fighting for himself; he is fighting for his future, his loved ones, his amazing YouTube community, and the chance to continue living a fulfilling life. Battling cancer is not something anyone should have to face alone, and that's why we're coming together as a community to offer our support.

TRANSPARENCY CLAUSE: GoFundMe is not supported in Japan. Therefore, we had to setup an American bank account to receive the donations. We will then transfer, on a monthly basis, all the money to Drew's Japanese bank account.
