Our friend Darnell Parker suffered devastating injuries while working on a construction site in East Lyme Connecticut.

He was rushed to Lawrence + Memorial Hospital, where doctors performed emergency surgery to control internal bleeding. After surgery, he was transported to Yale New Haven Hospital, where he remains in the ICU in critical condition.

Right now, his family and friends are taking things one moment at a time. The road ahead is uncertain, but we know it may be a long and difficult one.

We are starting this GoFundMe to help ease some of the financial burden during this incredibly difficult time. Donations will go toward expenses related to his hospitalization and recovery, including medical expenses, travel, lost income, rehabilitation, and other needs that may arise. If the unimaginable happens, funds may also be used to help his family with final and funeral expenses.

He is so much more than what happened to him. He is a friend, a loved one, and someone who means the world to the people who know him. Seeing someone you care about fighting for their life is something no family or group of friends is ever prepared for.

If you are able to donate, no amount is too small. If you aren’t in a position to donate, please consider sharing this fundraiser and keeping him, his family, and everyone who loves him in your thoughts and prayers.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for every donation, share, prayer, and kind word. We will provide updates when appropriate and when his family is comfortable sharing them.
