<div>On Saturday, September 28, Claire went to the pediatrician for some unexplained bruising and was sent to MUSC Shawn Jenkins Hospital. Within a matter of hours, she was diagnosed with AML (Acute Myeloid Leukemia).

<div>Monday, September 30 Claire had a central line placed and a bone marrow biopsy done. Today, October 1, Claire started her first round of chemotherapy. This will be a 30-45 day round where Claire will remain in the hospital. During this time, she will be extremely prone to infection so the family has asked for no visitors at this time.

<div>All of the funds raised here will go directly to the Schmidt family medical expenses and cover their daily needs supporting Claire and caring for Georgia at home.
