Alvaro Torres had a massive stroke on February 21, 2018. Marijane Stauss, Aliena, Kiana, and the entire Torres-Stauss family is devastated. They need everyone’s prayers and support as they begin the long road to recovery.
The Overview:
Alvaro is at Enloe Hospital where he will stay until he moves to Enloe Rehab. Once in Rehab, he will be there for about three weeks. Marijane says if he does well at Rehab, he will be able to come home with a home care nurse.
Alvaro needs lots of prayers for healing and gaining use of his left side which is currently paralyzed. Doctors are hopeful that he will recover, but they say there is no predicting these brain injuries and how they will heal.
Alvaro is the owner of Fiesta Taco on Clark and Pearson Roads. The Go Fund Me account will help his family while Alvaro is unable to work Additionally, it will be used to make accommodations to the Torres home once Alvaro comes home. The need is immediate and ongoing.
Fortunately Marijane was home with Alvaro when he had his stroke. She had spent the previous two weeks in Alaska taking care of funeral arrangements for her father and had returned only two days prior to Alvaro's stroke.
This family does so much for so many in the community, and at Achieve Charter School, where Marijane is a beloved employee. Please find it in your heart to help this family in need.
