<div>Asalaam Alaikum brothers and sisters, dear friends, supporters and kind-hearted
</div>
<div>individuals. On July 8 &amp; 9, we held the second annual BC Halal Food Fest here in Surrey, BC. While it was a huge success, we are here today with an unfortunate incident which we need your help and support with.

</div>
<div>We are reaching out to you today to ask for your assistance in helping to alleviate a huge financial setback that one of our community sisters incurred. This company (who shall not be named for privacy), registered to be a food vendor to showcase their delicious halal cuisine to the attendees of the festival.

<div>The sister who is a new mother, and a resilient entrepreneur was supposed to be at our recently concluded BC Halal Food Fest event. She and her team had spent a lot of time and effort and money (over $15, 000, which covers food cost, application fee, labor, rentals, transportation, stay and other logistics) to be at the event but after everything was in place, an unfortunate emergency took place on their end and they were not able to participate at the event.

<div><br />
</div>
<div>This sister is in a lot of distress as a result. Navigating a stressful time in her
</div>
<div>life and having this happen, she is overwhelmed and needs support. We
</div>
<div>have been in touch with this sister and we truly believe that support from the community could help alleviate her situation.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We believe in the community we have and believe that if we come together, we can be a beacon of hope for this sister in this very challenging time. Please brothers and sisters, we would like for you to donate an amount of whatever you feel is easy for you to support this community member. Any amount is appreciated. As you take it upon yourselves to help this sister in need, may Allah the Almighty solve all your problems and alleviate any burden you might be facing as well. We are thankful to all of you who do donate or share this to those who can.
