Help Supply Our Healthcare Workers with Meals

Dear family and friends,
This week, many of us are feeling overwhelmed, isolated and helpless, confined to our homes, and unable to directly help any of the 150,000 Americans infected with COVID-19.
New York continues to be an epicenter of this disaster. Over 60,000 New Yorkers are currently fighting COVID-19 infections, and over 1,000 have already died.
New York physicians, nurses, and other medical professionals are fighting every day to help as many people as they can while facing unimaginable risks. Healthcare workers now make up 10% of COVID-19 cases. While they work tirelessly for us, their challenges continue to grow. Their work hours are being extended longer and longer, pushing them to exhaustion as they work to save others from death.
Donations to this GoFundMe page will pay local restaurants to deliver meals to the emergency departments and intensive care units of hospitals in New York. The donations will first be given to Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, where my cousin, Dr. Valerie Pallos is working hard to ensure the safety of many. If enough money is raised, we will then extend to other hospitals within New York City and Long Island. This will not only support exhausted medical personnel, but will also support many small, locally-owned businesses and help keep their staff employed.
