Help protect patients from risky health providers
Hi, I'm Dr. Patrice Little a Board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and founder of NP Student University, an online coaching program for Nurse Practitioner students.
Some patients who need medical care aside from COVID19 could be at risk of not getting the kind of care they need from Nurse Practitioners that could save their lives. You may not be aware of how grave of a risk this is and how it could happen.
Here's why: Nursing schools are graduating NPs that are not as experienced as they used to be. This means you or your family members could be at risk for medical error, injury, and death if you use Telehealth for basic care.
There also has been a flight of experienced NPs leave the profession due to the stressors of caring for patients with COVID. We can predict that the new wave of NPs who replace this group will not have experienced mentors to help with decision making in the workplace.
Plus, a lot of NPs, don't know what they don't know which puts them at a much greater risk for malpractice suits.
The pandemic has put a spotlight on this problem and I believe it needs to be addressed.
In February, our team launched NP Student University (NPU), an online membership that provides community, support and mentoring for future Nurse Practitioners who will one day care for you and your family.
Help us protect patients from risky Nurse Practitioners so we can have a healthier tomorrow by donating to NPU.
Your donation will help us:
(1) Train our coaches to help students with their physical assessment, diagnosing, and prescribing skills.
(2) Support our educational platform.
(3) Offer scholarships for NP students who can benefit from the value of our program.
