Hello, this is Sunny. Sunny is a stray that came to our porch about 3 weeks ago (we participate in TNR, so oftentimes we have food and water out).
We took him to get neutered, vaccinated, and to have his eyes examined. It was apparent something was wrong with his eyes, so we hoped to trap him sooner rather than later.
We figured (and hoped) that it was an easily treatable eye infection. But, unfortunately, that is not the case. Sunny has been diagnosed with "Entropion." This condition "is an abnormal inward rolling of the upper or lower eyelids, causing abnormal, painful friction with the surface of the eye." This poor guy can barely open his eyes as it is too painful. We are hoping to alleviate this pain, and give him his sight back before permanent damage occurs.
We have only had Sunny in our home for about 5 days, so we don't know too much about him. When we trapped him to get neutered and vaccinated, we thought he might be feral, but he clearly isn't. He is very sweet. He loves head and back rubs, and when you speak to him so sweetly. He lets us pick him up, and is very calm. He also lets me sing to him, which should clearly make him a saint ;)
We pay for the vaccinations, neuter/spay, and medications for any ferals we have been able to trap. But this sweet guy needs more extensive care that we are hoping to get funded for him.
We are trying to raise $900.00 for his surgery. Any donation could help... I will supply any paperwork you need to confirm this is a legitimate request.
