Let’s Get Sugar’s “Chesticle” Removed Before Her 7th Birthday!

Hey y’all —
I never thought I’d be writing a GoFundMe with the word “chesticle” in it, and yet… here we are.

This is for my sweet dog Sugar — the unofficial mayor of every place she’s ever lived, and also the proud owner of a suspicious (but hopefully benign) chest lump that her vet literally referred to as a “chesticle.” Yes, it’s a thing. No, I’m not okay.

Sugar’s had this lil’ thing since I adopted her 6 years ago, but it’s recently grown bigger, longer, and more inflamed. While she’s never acted like it’s painful, she’s been licking it nonstop lately and I can just tell it’s bothering her. It also gets caught under her elbow sometimes, and I live in constant fear that it’ll get snagged or worse.

We went to the vet and the official verdict was: "It’s probably benign, but we won’t know until we remove it and test it." The surgery estimate is $1,100, and they have to take the whole thing to properly test it. So yeah — it’s gotta go.
I’m calling on all of Sugar’s friends (and mine!) from Austin, TX to Jackson, MS to help out however you can — even just sharing this link means the world.

I’m hoping we can raise the funds and get Sugar into surgery before her 7th birthday on September 23rd — after that, she’ll need extra pre-op testing due to her age, which means more $$$ and more waiting.

About Sugar (aka: the real star of this fundraiser)
Sugar is my registered emotional support animal and full-time cuddle buddy.

She is obsessed with kissing people. I’m convinced she was French in a past life. Her favorite hobby? Making out.

She’s a pitbull + beagle mix, which explains her sweet face and incredibly nosy nose.

Sugar doesn’t bark. Like… at all. I’ve maybe heard her bark three times in the last 6 years.

She crosses her front paws when she lays down like she’s sipping tea and judging everyone in the room. It’s so ladylike. So sassy. So Sugar.

Her favorite activities include sunbathing, rolling around in a warm patch of grass, and eating peanut butter out of her Kong like it’s a Michelin-star meal.

She’s the kind of dog who makes strangers smile, kids calm down, and hearts melt instantly. (She’s done it to me every day since I got her.)

Whether you can chip in a little or a lot, thank you for supporting Sugar and helping me get this “chesticle” removed once and for all. Every donation goes straight toward her surgery and follow-up care — and every share helps us reach more folks who might want to help.

We appreciate y’all so much

With love (and lots of kisses from Sugar),
Mia J + Sugar
