Help Suey's fight with cancer

Dear friends,

For the past five years, our dear friends Ken and Sue Hernandez have been quietly dealing with the diagnosis of breast cancer that Sue received.  The breast cancer then unfortunately metastasized to her bones.

Over the years, she has taken all of the medications that her oncologist prescribed in the hope that each medication would continue to keep this horrible, painful disease from running rampant in her body. The hope was that the medications would keep her alive for longer than the 5-7 years predicted by oncologists. 

Unfortunately, the time is here that we all prayed would never come. The dreaded cancer has spread to vital organs. As suggested by doctors she endured chemo treatments.  Unfortunately, these did not work but instead left her weaker than ever. Her body is now too weak to endure any more treatments. Our Suey is now under hospice care. 

While insurance covers the medical part of hospice care, her room and board is not covered.  The daily cost of $450  to keep her in a kind, caring and responsive hospice environment will quickly add up.  So, we are asking for donations that will help the family cover this astronomical cost.
