Who I Am & Why I’m Raising These Funds
My name is Dr. Safa Hadra, and I am a Sudanese American doctor committed to supporting my people during the ongoing humanitarian crisis. I have a direct connection to Haj Alsafi Teaching Hospital through my former colleague, Dr. Hussein Idris, who is currently on the ground in Sudan. He is the hospital’s manager, working tirelessly to assist doctors and patients despite the overwhelming challenges.
Sudan is in crisis. Since April 2023, the country has been torn apart by war, leaving millions without access to food, water, and medical care. Hospitals have been bombed, medical supplies are scarce, and doctors are working under unimaginable conditions to save lives.
Haj Alsafi Teaching Hospital in Khartoum Bahri was destroyed when the war began, forcing doctors to stop providing care. Now, medical professionals on the ground are working tirelessly to restart the hospital and bring essential healthcare back to the community.
However, they lack the necessary resources—there is no medical equipment, no steady power supply, and no funding to support the doctors who are risking everything to help.
Where Your Donations Will Go
All funds raised will be sent directly to Dr. Idris, who will ensure they reach Haj Alsafi Teaching Hospital. Funds will be transferred through trusted and secure channels to ensure they reach the hospital safely.
How the Funds Will Be Spent
Your donations will be used for critical medical needs, including:
