Help Students Get Home Safe
My name is DeMiro and I am the founder of a start-up charitable (non-profit) organization. The organization's focus is a fast, safe and reliable method of transporting young women and men to their residences at night when leaving campuses of their respective colleges. After seeing many reports around the country primarily about women being targets of sexual assault on many collegiate campuses, I see the need for a safe way for these young ladies, and men to be transported safely late at night to on-campus housing and buildings.(ie. On-Campus Library to On-Campus Residence)
· Since the SafeEscort Volunteer will be fellow college students there's the opportunity to meet and network with other talented peers. To be a SafeEscort Volunteer each potential volunteer will be required to go through a thorough interview process and background check
· The program I am putting in place will allow students to order a safe transportation solution on their mobile device or computer and have a SafeEscort Volunteer outside their location within 10 minutes to get them to their destination safely.
· Each and every SafeEscort Volunteer will be required to go through a thorough interview process and background check in order to become a SafeEscort Volunteer on their campus.
How does this benefit the SafeEscort Volunteer and the student?
The SafeEscort Volunteer will provided this service to the student as a voluntary service to their community also allowing them to receive legitimate community service hours for various needs in college requirements.
Why can't a student just order an Uber or Lyft on campus?
Often times the majority of college campuses are placed in rural areas, not allowing companies like Uber and Lyft to sufficiently or properly operate on a college campus transporting from building to on campus housing.
How will the funds be used?
The funds will solely be used to pay for start-up cost such as legal fees, app development system, supplies, advertising and equipment.
