<div>2025 12 13 UPDATE: Stormi and I arrived home before the big snow hit the burg. She's sore, but mobile, and happy to be home. I'm so grateful for your help and very happy to have her home. I missed her a lot.

<div>Stormi came into my life on New Year’s Day 2024. What was supposed to be a temporary placement while her owner was hospitalized quickly turned into something much more. Even though I was dealing with my own health issues, I agreed to care for her for a while. After looking into her eyes, I knew there was no way I could part with her. I am so grateful that Stormi was allowed to stay with me. She has taught me how to trust again and to appreciate the overwhelming joy she brings to my life every day. Friends and family have even told me that I’m a much nicer person since Stormi came into my life!

<div>Now, Stormi needs help. She requires a radical mastectomy, which is unfortunately common in ChiWeenies who have not been spayed or delivered a litter. The cost of the surgery is more than I can afford as a recently retired person living on Social Security. I want nothing more than to give Stormi the healthy, happy life she deserves.
