Hi, my name’s Jen, and I’m reaching out for help to start a new chapter in my life, one focused
on safety, education, and independence.
For most of my life, I’ve lived in an emotionally and mentally abusive home environment. What
should have been a place of comfort has instead been filled with fear, manipulation, and constant
stress. I’ve experienced threats, control through money, and emotional trauma that have made it
hard to focus on school or even plan for a stable future.
After years of trying to cope and make things better, I’ve realized the only way to truly heal and
grow is to start over somewhere safe. My goal is to move to South Carolina, enroll in college,
and rebuild my life from the ground up.
This fundraiser will help me take those first steps toward safety and stability to leave behind an
environment that has caused me pain and finally begin building a life that’s my own.
Why I Need Your Help
I’m working hard and saving every bit I can, but my current situation makes it nearly impossible
to cover all the costs on my own.
The funds raised here will go directly toward:
- Relocation expenses (transportation, housing deposit, and rent)
- Essential living costs (utilities, groceries, and basic furniture)
- College expenses (textbooks, enrollment fees, and supplies)
- Emergency funds for safety and stability during my transition
What This Move Means
This move isn’t just about leaving home; it’s about reclaiming my life.
It means having the freedom to focus on my education, find meaningful work, and heal
emotionally without fear. It means being able to study, plan, and dream again things that have
felt impossible for so long.
I’ve always wanted to use my experience to help others who have gone through similar struggles.
Going to college will be a huge step toward that goal. It will give me the education and
confidence to build a better future not just for myself, but for others who might be feeling
trapped too.
How You Can Help
1. Donate: Any amount, big or small, truly helps.
2. Share: Sharing this page on social media or with friends can reach people who might
want to help.
3. Encourage: Your kind words and moral support mean more than you can imagine.
Even if you can’t donate, simply spreading the word makes a huge difference.
My Promise to You
Transparency matters to me. I’ll post updates along the way so you can see exactly how your
support is helping from finding housing to enrolling in college and getting settled.
GoFundMe is built on trust, and I want everyone who helps me to feel confident that every
donation will be used responsibly and honestly.
This isn’t easy to share, but I know asking for help is sometimes the strongest thing you can do.
Your support isn’t just financial it’s emotional. It tells me I’m not alone in this.
From the Heart
Thank you so much for taking the time to read my story. Whether you choose to donate, share, or
send words of encouragement, please know that you are helping someone rebuild their life.
Your compassion gives me hope, hope that I can move from fear to freedom, from surviving to
truly living.
With your support, I can finally move to safety, start college, and begin the life I’ve always
dreamed of.
Thank you,
Jen
