Help Stewart Mauldin Fight Cancer

Stewart Mauldin, singer, songwriter, performer and guitar teacher, found out in Oct 2017 that he had Stage 3b Lung Cancer. He almost died when inflammation around the mass caused his lung to collapse. He went through 30 rounds of Radiation and 2 rounds of Chemo in Dec 2017 - Feb 2018. Then they put him on Immunotherapy to help his body fight any remaining cancer cells and prevent it from returning. The Immunotherapy caused him to go into Ketoacidosis and Diabetes. He also had what we thought was a muscle knot on his shoulder and what his PCP called a fatty tumor on his leg. Neither of these two painful areas were addressed until they got really large. Then a PET scan determined that both spots and a few lymph nodes were also cancerous. He is getting treatment with a different Immunotherapy and 5 more shots of radiation. We plan to go to MD Anderson in Houston TX in Sept to see if there is something they can do.

The company I (Gayle) was working for was very flexible letting me take him to treatments and work from home or the hospital (6 hospital stays in 8 months) during all of this. They laid me off in May when they didn't have enough work for me. So I am currently unemployed and staying at home taking care of Stewart while looking for a job that will allow me to be able to work from home so I can be here for him.

Funds raised will go to help with paying medical and other bills and for the trips we will be taking to Houston for treatment.
