<div>Stevie was recently diagnosed with a brain tumor while undergoing rehabilitation from a work related injury. This diagnosis was a shock to Stevie, her immediate &amp; extended families as well as those close to her. Through consultation with several doctors in both Worcester and Boston, it was determined that the best course of action would be to have surgery to remove the tumor.

<div>In February of 2025, Stevie injured her neck and shoulder while conducting Ice rescue training with the fire department, and has been out of work since. While rehabbing her injury a very fortunate decision was made to take some additional images of her neck, spine and head to ensure her recovery was on track, and through those images, they discovered the brain tumor. Through additional testing it was determined that the tumor is likely cancerous, they will only be able to definitively determine if the tumor is cancerous after it is removed. The likelihood of continued tumor growth could begin to increase pressure in her brain and she could develop more complications and discomfort.

<div>The decision to have surgery will force the family to make additional sacrifices which will effect them emotionally, psychologically and financially.

<div>Stevie currently serves as a Firefighter/Paramedic with the Charlton Fire Department and previously served the Littleton Fire Deparmtent in the same capacity. Her work ethic and enthusiasm for the job makes her a natural leader. She also served as a sergeant in the US Army as a flight paramedic. In the moments in between her shifts and her three kids activities, her real passion lies on their farm where her and her husband rescue animals.
