Help Steven Publish His Oklahoma Book

Hi, I'm Steven Hunter and I am raising funds to publish my book Oklahoma's Natural Heritage. I need to raise $16,000 to cover the layout, printing, binding, and shipping of 1,000 soft cover books and 100 special edition hard cover books. This is my fourth book and the one broadest in scope. For the first time, Oklahoma landscapes, close-ups, and wildlife will be presented in a single volume. Oklahoma is a diverse state with more bioregions than any other state, except Texas and California. It took me ten years to capture this diversity, and I have documented every corner of the state from the swamps, forests, and alligators of the southeast to the mesas, grasslands, and pronghorn of the northwest. Oklahoma's Natural Heritage will be 128 pages long and 9 X 9 inches in format. It will include more than 130 photographs and have informative, entertaining, and inspiring text, much of which will be from a Christian perspective. The book will showcase landscapes, flowers, insects, and wildlife of Oklahoma in a size that is easy to handle and beautiful to look at.

This project is already well under way as the photography and text are complete. All expenses up to this point have been borne by me. Layout, printing, and binding are contingent upon contribution funds. Because of my past experience in producing nature photography books, and because of my passion and devotion to my craft and to God, I will maintain the highest standards of book production, product value and business ethics. I will use the same excellent book broker for the printing and binding that I used for my previous two books which are exemplary in image reproduction and book construction.

Please contribute to this project and, together, we can bring this book to life! Once all necessary funds have been raised the final layout will begin. Experience has shown that three months will be ample time for layout to be completed. Another several months for printing, binding, and shipping, and hopefully, I will have the book in-hand by Spring of 2022.

Working on this book project has been a journey of faith for me. I have had to have faith in myself and in God to get it this far. God has provided the faith that I would get the pictures, the faith that I would physically be able to finish the project, the faith that I would have the financial resources, and the faith that people would care. He has already seen me through lean times, discouragement, sickness, and depression. I have faith that He also will see to it that I have funding to finish the layout, design, and printing. Proverbs 3:5-6 says “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.” Prayerfully consider contributing and thank you for your support.
