Help Steve Get VAAFT Surgery

Donation protected
Please help my brother, Steve Legreid, raise the much-needed funding to travel to India or Europe and get the surgery necessary to heal his severe Crohn's Disease and related symptoms. There is a new procedure only being performed overseas called VAAFT. It is quite possibly the only procedure available in the world that can give him some relief and let him move forward with his life. Since first exhibiting the symptoms of Crohn's fifteen years ago at 20 years old, the disease has continued to get more and more severe. Steve has undergone four surgeries in two different states, none of which have helped him at all. He's been on over thirty different medications and been misdiagnosed too many times to count. He currently takes a dozen medications to try and manage his symptoms and keep his severe pain under control. He lives in constant pain, has continual drainage issues requiring adult diapers, no straining or lifting, with minimal standing allowed, extreme blinding migraines, joint pain, trouble urinating, and debilitating depression. As I type this, I am heartbroken at the thought of my "baby brother" enduring this quality of life. If you know Steve, you surely know him as a gentle giant, standing 6'6" tall and at his healthiest and strongest averaging 250 lbs. of muscle. One of his passions has always been health and fitness, with a focus on strength training. Even throughout his illness, he was able to put in work and obtain his four-year degree in Exercise Science, with dreams of opening his own gym or becoming a high school P.E. teacher. Unfortunately, his disease has been far too crippling for him pursue any of those dreams. He wants nothing more than to be able to live a life free of this painful, debilitating disease so he can live a hard-working, active, purposeful life caring for his fiancé, Erica, and her three children, which he has taken on as his own since they were all very young. I've always said that Steve was "the good one" out of my older brother and I, because he always had an easier time walking the straight and narrow than we did. He has a good, pure heart and a kind, loving and gentle nature. Even though he is younger than me, I often find myself looking up to him and respecting his advice on most topics. He would do anything for anyone else, and I am just asking that you find it in yourselves to donate any amount you can. He is a very humble and private person and has never even been involved in any type of social media, so the fact he is ok with me "going public" with his personal information speaks volumes to how ready he is for this disease to leave him the hell alone. We are so grateful and appreciative of any amount you are able to donate. Thank you all for taking the time to read Steve's story.
