My Dad is the strongest man I know. He is gentle, kind, generous, and always puts the needs of others before his own. He's always worked so hard to make sure we had everything we ever needed. He's always supported me and my dreams, never letting me give up, and I'm not about to let him give up now.
He is the best granddad, aka "Papa" to my three adorable, little nieces/nephew (15mos-7yrs) that live with him and love him dearly. He's father to 6 kids, who all love and idolize him (I'm still sure he's a superhero). He's my Mom's soulmate; they've been together 38 years. He's spent his whole life loving us and giving us everything. Now he needs us.
Everyone that meets him knows how special he is. He is so full of love and light. He is an amazing singer, a poet, a songwriter, and author some of Grand Cayman's beloved folk songs, an inventor of Talking Books, and an extremely hard worker that puts God and family first. He has always been so generous and caring for others, always so thoughtful and full of joy.
On December 21st he had a stroke, and on December 27th, he had another stroke, leaving him unable to walk, with vision and speech impairment. He is so dear to us, and we are all praying for a full recovery. Insurance only covers so much, and the medications, specialists, and physiotherapy are expensive. Any little bit helps. I know there are so many people who love my Dad and want to see him get better.
