Help Stephanie Shotwell Rebuild

Donation protected

On the evening of Sunday Oct. 8, 2017, a fire began in the hills above Santa Rosa and stormed into the city, destroying scores of homes, hotels and retailers. I'm saddened to say that my dear friend, Stephanie Shotwell was in the path of this monster fire. Sometime around 3am, Stephanie and her family rushed to evacuate her home. With the fire less than 50 miles away and no power, she left not having time to collect any belongs.
At this time, Stephanie and her family are safe. They are devastated and trying to comprehend the loss of their family home and a lifetime of memories.
As many of you know, I lost my home in August of 2016, and the generosity of family and friends gave me hope and more importantly, eased some of the daily burden I felt in the first few weeks. I'm asking for your help by showing Stephanie the same generosity in receiving the much needed support for the days ahead. The money collected will be used to purchase essentials and disaster cleanup.
Stephanie is a mother, a sister, a daughter, a grandmother and a friend to everyone who has met her. I'm proud to be considered one of her close friends.
As the smoke clears, there will be tough days ahead. What do you replace first? Where do you begin? Everything is gone. How do you rebuild a life destroyed?
YOU LEAN ON YOUR FRIENDS.
We love you Stephanie.
