Help Steph tell cancer to Slack Off

Donation protected

Stephanie Slack  a young mother, sister, aunt, friend and  Girl-friend was diagnosed with stage 3 Ductal Carcinoma breast cancer on September 13, 2017. Around this same time Stephanie also found she  and Brice Farley were expecting their first child together.  Stephanie met with doctors and even got a second opinion with a physician who was willing to help save both her and the baby.
On  Wednesday, November 8, she had surgery on her left breast  which contained a 1.7 cm tumor and 19 lymph nodes were removed. The surgery was successful as the pathology reports have come back and of the 19 nodes they removed, only 2 were infected and the surgeon feels he successfully removed all of the cancer. In addition, the fat and tissue that was removed came back negative - Praise the Lord!! The plastic surgeon also was successful as she was able to insert a gel implant.
Stephanie is recovering at home and is in pain, but is tolerating it very well.  The next plan of action is to start chemo in the 18 - 19 weeks of her pregnancy which will be the end of November or first of December.
We also can not express enough how much we have appreciated the out pouring of support and love from all of our friends and family as they prayed diligently for Stephanie's surgery to go well - and it did!! Thank you does not seem adequate, but it is all we have - you have all been absolutely wonderful and we are so grateful.

Stephanie has not been able to work since the surgery  and depending how chemo treatments affect her she could be out of work longer.  With being pregnant it has made it a more difficult battle but everything from the doctors perspective is going well. Brice between work has been supportive of Stephanie and in caring for Stephanie's son Knox. Unfortunately with loss time at work, rising medical bills, preparing for a baby as well as keeping up with everyday expenses Brice and Stephanie could use your help.

Help show Stephanie she is not fighting this alone and Show Brice the village of support surrounding them to help care for Stephanie and their new child.

There is also plans of getting a benifit started around the Woodbine area in late January for Stephanie and Brice.  It is my hope to have fellowship and try to help out more financially.  Please stay tuned to Facebook for more information and thank you for any support you can give.
