Help Stella Fight Leukemia
On June 30th, at the age of 10 years, our sweet Stella was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. She is considered very high risk due to a chromosomal abnormality, iAMP21. Anyone who knows Stella can tell you that she is full of life and brings joy to everyone around her. She is so brave and is fighting this terrible disease with a smile on her face. Since her diagnosis, Stella has been receiving weekly spinal tap injections, chemo through her port, shots at home, and numerous oral meds. She has a long road ahead of her consisting of around 8 months of treatment and 2 1/2 years of maintenance.
Brandy and Jody have been by Stella's side for every doctor's appointment and every day she has been in the hospital. Not only has Brandy been by Stella's side, but she is also caring for Stella's baby sister, Tinsley. Many have asked how to help. Aside from donations to assist with the hospital bills that are piling up, we ask that you keep Stella in your prayers, thoughts, cheers, well wishes, etc. Stella has an amazing support system and she will fight this and kick leukemia's ass!
