Hi neighbors, I’m Darshawn Phillip Romine, and I’m reaching out on behalf of the Sovereign’s Grove community garden (formerly known as the Redcrest garden) located at 341 East Maplewood Ave. Our garden is a place where we grow more than just food; we grow community, connection, and hope. Right now, we are facing a major challenge: we have no reliable way to keep our plants hydrated. Without a dedicated water spigot on-site, our gardeners are struggling to keep their crops alive in the summer heat, and it’s becoming harder to provide fresh produce for our neighborhood.

 We are raising funds to install a proper water spigot so that our garden can thrive and continue to nourish our community. Every dollar donated will go directly toward the plumbing costs, parts, and professional installation required to bring water to our garden beds. Having a reliable water source will make all the difference, allowing us to grow more food, support more neighbors, and keep our space green and welcoming for everyone.
