Help Soul Replace Her Food Truck Ethel

Greetings Everyone... This is Ethel.

I've worked in restaurants and the customer service industry most of my life. The pandemic really took a toll on my business but I made it through. During this time, after a three year battle with lung cancer, my Mom died. I never felt so alone in my life. I focused my energy on building a food truck to relieve some of the debt incurred from being a five day caregiver. I purchased a trailer with stimulus funds and built a custom food truck. I thought, "With the food truck I can ease some of my business debt and pay off some of the people I owe." Only to see it taken by someone in a city I live in and work in.

Shutting down during the pandemic meant no poetry, art or music events. I supplemented by hosting plant based pop-ups, even setting up in the unfinished food truck on occasion. But last week, it was stolen. A police report has been filed. At this time, it has not been found. I have a store front but it is not fully licensed as a restaurant yet. I do however, host weekend plant based pop-ups at the physical location. My intent is to purchase a new food trailer (or find the one I built) and get back to the creative events my business is known for.

We are in difficult times. I do not like to ask for things as is. I'm the one usually quietly helping people in my community. Staff has been mainly myself, just to keep overhead low. I have found a replacement truck, fully loaded and ready to be inspected. It has been licensed before so there should be no problem getting it again.

Any support you offer is appreciated. I was accepting donations via cash app but decided it would be better to do so in a platform where you can see where your support is going. My plan is to purchase this food trailer which is fully loaded with generators, fryers, sink, equipment and all needed items for a food truck/trailer. No, it doesn't look like "Ethel the Food Truck" but it will... I haven't given up. I started with practically nothing. I'm not complaining now or ever. I appreciate my journey.

Please help me reach my goals and get back to my plan of serving you great plant based cuisine and giving you a business with a great vibe to relax in... Socially distant of course.
