Help Sophie recover after the loss of her partner

Our friend Sophie Kaplan of Skeletons in the Closet recently suffered the loss of Jonathan; her partner of 6 years. They lived together in an apartment with Jonathan’s three cats and his tragic passing has left Sophie in a very precarious situation. We are hoping to raise enough funds together to get her back on her feet. Sophie will need to immediately be able to cover full cost of the $2k a month rent as well as vet bills for the three cats she is now fully responsible for. One of the kitties suffers from thyroid issues and requires special care and a lot of treatment. Adding to the financial strain, Sophie will need to vacate their apartment by the end of the year as well. 
  No one should have to face this terrible loss alone, especially such a young a vibrant person like Sophie. We are so proud of her for successfully running her own clothing business, but as many of us who are makers know that has left her with out a safety net in terms of income and insurance. She has relied on her partner Jon for emotional, practical, and financial support. Let’s join together and give our friend a much needed cushion and lift a great burden off of her, allowing her to grieve as properly as one can in these incredibly difficult days.
