Hi! My name is Sophie. After 5 years of hard work, I've completed my coursework in Music Therapy at Berklee College of Music and secured an internship at Brooks Rehabilitation in Jacksonville, FL! I'm on my way, but I need your help...!
At Brooks Rehabilitation I'll get to use music as a noninvasive measure to advance the health of patients that are facing stroke, brain injury, Parkinson's, neurodegenerative diseases, and other brain related medical circumstances. It may sound like a mouthful, but to me it's everything I've ever wanted to do!
I'll be interning 40 hours a week for 6 months and studying for the certification test to become a board certified music therapist. Performing my best will leave no time for a second job to pay for basic living expenses and moving costs to Florida and back to the PNW after completion. This is where you can help!
By January 22nd, we are looking to raise $11,000. Any gift you can give will go directly towards supporting my work with patients at Brooks Rehabilitation recovering from brain and spinal chord injuries.
