Help soon to be parents & newlyweds with Vet bill

If you have never had the chance to meet Jordyn or Chase, you’re missing out. They are two of the most caring and loving people ever and I’m not just saying that because Jordyn’s my sister and Chase my soon to be brother in law.
A little over a week ago, their dogs Gus & Luna went in for routine checkups. It was then that we learned Luna had kennel cough. Or so we thought that’s all it was. Sadly a few days later after a 13 hour wait, Luna was admitted to the Emergency Vet, placed in the ICU on oxygen and a feeding tube.
From the time Luna got into the ICU, there was a great amount of back and forth. She became reliant on oxygen and a feeding tube due to continued regurgitation and developed jaundice from the severe infection. After an abundant amount of blood tests, X-rays and ultrasound’s, Luna was diagnosed with severe aspiration pneumonia, pneumocystis and megaesophogus. Strong antibiotics are being used to treat her pneumonia and pneumocystis, but megaesophogus is something that Luna will continue to live with. Megaesophogus is an esophageal dysfunction that is caused by her enlarged esophagus. Because of this, she has to eat and drink in a Bailey chair (essentially a high chair) and then must remain in there upright for 30 minutes for gravity to pull food and water down. She will also have to be in a special diet. This is going to be a lifestyle change for Chase, Jordyn and Luna, but something they are ready to take on as their dogs are their children.
On another note, Chase and Jordyn have opted not to have a wedding ceremony and reception due to the huge financial toll this has taken on them and expecting a little on next year. They are currently at $15,000 with the bill still rising. They will do something more informal for their wedding and will still have a special day with friends and family!! Their priorities are getting Luna home and healthy and delivering a healthy baby in March.
If you can help in anyway, please know it won’t go unnoticed. Chase & Jordyn are not the ones to ask for help and will help anyone they can, but this time they are needing it!
