<div>I’m not one to ask for any help on practically anything, ever, and neither is Sonia. Now, however, we’re at a point of desperation that we hope help from others might actually help save Sonia’s life. For those who are unaware, Sonia Ramos has been fighting for her life ever since September 2021, when she was diagnosed with Stage 2 Cervical Cancer.

<div>Five rounds of chemo, a complete rework of her entire diet and lifestyle, as well as a couple of surgeries of her reproductive system and a year later, she seemed to be doing better and we were all hopeful. However, the first rounds of chemo failed. The cancer and tumor had grown significantly and her cancer had progressed to stage 3b, not far off from being even worse of a fate of stage 4 which means the cancer would spread to her vital organs.

<div>Right now I’m typing from the hospital, and since I was home for a few months at least before seriously touring again, I told Sonia I would be there for whatever she needed. Now, the doctors attempted to do both radiation and another 5 rounds of chemotherapy simultaneously, in hopes that the cancer will finally shrink and put her in remission.

<div>Now they’re attempting Bracytherapy. For those of you who don’t know what it is, feel free to look it up… it’s not pretty.

<div>Sadly, none of these hospitals or doctors have made us feel as if they’re going to accomplish much except leaving her cut up and weak. So now, we’re going to ask everyone to help us for something that may be entirely out of reach but it still may be worth a shot. The best hospital treatments for this kind of cancer are located in Houston, Texas, as well as integrative oncology; but of course these treatments aren’t covered by her health carrier, and with a cost of approximately $25,000 in total for the entire program.

<div>I’m not coming here for sympathy or to show any politicized view of our healthcare, but I came to my friends, and I know there’s a lot of you out there all over the world, for help. Sonia is in love with our music community, she loves metal and playing technical death metal. Her favorite band is Necrophagist and she also plays guitar. She’s WAY better than me, hell I’ve told her she’s probably the best guitarist I’ve met ( sorry guys she plays an 8 string and actually is good at it :P, she even showed up on GuitarWorld back in 2015). Not to mention…. She BUILDS guitars. Her plan for the longest was to build a company, Sombra Guitars, together and build a studio house, a dream not forgotten. She literally just finished her work bench before the second nightmare came and she’s said it’s the most depressing thing in the world that she was ready to really start building before befalling to this sickness.

<div>I apologize for the long post, and for anyone who actually read all this, I appreciate it, but the fight is heavy. She can’t eat solid food or even drink many liquids because of how many procedures she’s gone through, constantly giving her fevers, nausea, pain in almost all of her body, and the like. I’ve watched this woman suffer but I do my best to make her laugh. I do my best as the Julian you all know to make the situation seem as light as possible and to make her laugh and smile to make it through the day, but this is not a joke. Sonia fights for her life every day and has been for the last two years practically.
