I never imagined I would have to write this, but my family has been directly affected by the immigration raids happening in Grand Rapids, Michigan. On Sunday, May 25th, my children's paternal grandfather was picked up and is currently being held in Calhoun County Jail, along with many others.

We have hired a lawyer and are fighting for him to remain in the U.S. He has been here for over 30 years and has children here, including one who is still a minor and desperately needs him.

I am writing this because we need help with funds to continue our fight. No one, especially a minor, should be without their parent. This has been an incredibly difficult time for all of us, and we feel overwhelmed. All the funds gathered from this GoFundMe will be used for legal costs and, if we are successful, for an immigration bond. Thank you for your support.
