Hi! My name is Debbie and this is our cat S’mores. A little backstory… Last year, I went to Dollar General to get ingredients because our family wanted to make s’mores, and when I went inside, the employees were talking about this cat who kept trying to come in looking for food. I didn’t think much of it, but when I left the store and opened the door to my car, this cat jumped in! I spent the next 3 days looking for his possible family, and nobody came forward. We took him in (even though I’m super allergic to cats) and he is literally the BEST cat ever. I could never replace him. He is so docile and sweet!! The most amazing thing to see is when he lays down and seems to be hugging our floors and furniture. I’d like to think he feels happy to be in a warm and friendly environment and loves us as much as we love him.
Well… today, he started to be super lethargic, not wanting to eat, wobbling, and plopping over. We thought it may be a reaction to the vaccine he just received, so we rushed him to the nearest animal hospital. They diagnosed him with Feline Urethral Obstruction and said he will be with them for the next few days if he makes it past the night and takes well to the procedure.
We would do anything for our animals and hope he makes it past this. That being said… the bill for just the stay is a minimum of $4,000 and will potentially be more. We luckily were able to finance the funds to hospitalize him temporarily, but we are humbly asking for help to support S’mores through this hard time so we can pay the bill and give him future support. It is a lifelong condition.
We appreciate everyone. Even if you cannot donate financially - we know times are hard - but even a prayer will be so much appreciated. Thank you!
