This is Skylar, a sweet and resilient cat at our shelter who is quietly suffering from a painful medical condition — and she needs your help.

Skylar has developed a nasopharyngeal polyp, a benign but damaging growth in her ear canal. While the word "benign" might sound reassuring, these polyps can cause chronic pain, repeated ear infections, inflammation, and hearing loss. Without surgery, the polyp will continue to grow, worsening her discomfort and risking permanent damage.

Right now, Skylar is experiencing pain and recurring infections that no cat should have to live with. Despite this, she remains a gentle, loving soul who just wants to feel better.

The only solution is surgical removal of the polyp — a delicate procedure that requires anesthesia and veterinary expertise.
