Hello family and friends. I am the grandmother of 2 adorable kids Andre (2) and My'kayla (11).
My daughter is a single hard working mother working only part-time but taking care of her two children and me. She gives her all to make sure we have a place to stay. I have been sick these past few years and unable to work and help out which is very stressful. I have been waiting on state disability to be approved but it can take up to 20 months or longer I have been told. We have fallen short on our bills not being able to pay; falling behind with them, we REALLY need help to pay our bills. I feel I am a burden on my daughter because I am not able to pull my weight around the house she said I am not but when you have always been the back bone of the family what else can you think? I ask my daughter what can I do to help out she said "Mom, just be strong and make sure you go to all your doctor appointments and help with the kids when you can". I just want to cry not knowing when things will get better, or where my next dollar to contribute will come from. With my somewhat limited mobility, I have good and bad days.Some of the times Iam not able to walk, but I continue to push forward. My grand kids are there for me when I have fallen down and try to pick me up. It hurts me that my young grandkids know when there is pain around them, but dont really understand what is going on. It is hard reaching out to anyone asking for help but I don't know what else to do. If you have it in your heart to help me and my family God Bless you from the bottom of my heart.
