Help shona to get private endometriosis surgery.

Hello ! :) for most that know me you’ll know I have a chronic illness called ‘Endometriosis’. I was diagnosed after many years of mis diagnosis, and being ignored at the age of 19.

Endometriosis is a long-term condition where tissue similar to the lining of the womb grows in other places, such as the ovaries and fallopian tubes.
I have had a total of 3 laparoscopic surgeries and I am only 21.

I’m absolutely ecstatic to of raised the initial £200 for my first consultant appointment. I am beyond greatful to have received the donations I have. So a massive Thankyou.

I currently am in urgent need of a specialist surgery, as my left ovary is stuck to my sidewall, and my bowel and my right Fallopian tube is imobile, with the ovary itself stuck back to my uterus. This as you can imagine causes chronic pain on a day to day basis. Endometriosis in itself has plenty of side effects.

the waiting list for the surgery I need is up to two years, and with already taking morphine upon other medication to try and ease the pain you can imagine how this seems so long away. The NHS is under huge strain, and unfortunately womens health care and gynaecology is not the priority.

I am now going private to receive treatment ( a private well known gynaecologist , in hull) To have my specialist endometriosis surgery! I can fill in the details more once I know what I actually need and what will be happening after my consultant appointment.
  • Methods of the surgery include:
  • using a low voltage electric current passed through a wire or probe to burn the lining
  • using a wire or probe to remove the womb lining
  • using a high energy beam of laser light
  • pumping hot fluid into the womb – either directly or with the help of a balloon-like device.
  • Etc!
i could have the surgery done within just short of 6 weeks. Which is a huge difference to the 2 years I’m currently looking at.

I have booked the initial consultant appointment!

I am now raising the amount to help towards the initial deposit for my surgery. The surgery itself will cost of £5,000. And although I can get this on finance, you need an initial deposit of 10%, which has to be paid seven days before the surgery is to go ahead.

Absolutely anything helps I am so grateful for all donations.

This surgery will literally change my life for the better❤️

and please, any female, please look up endometriosis. It unfortunately affects 1 in 10 of us yet is one of the most under-funded and miss diagnosed illness.
