<div>‏My name is Shireen Elaila, and I am proud to be the first female professional bodybuilding trainer in Gaza, Palestine. Throughout my life, I dedicated my time and effort to empowering women through fitness and health. However, since the war began on October 7, 2023, my life has been turned upside down, leaving me trapped in a cycle of destruction and hardship.

<div>‏I am no longer young—I am nearing forty years old—and I have never had the opportunity to achieve my dreams in this place. Before the war, I was trying to build a decent life, but I was unable to study the field I always dreamed of. Today, I cannot even apply for scholarships abroad because my age disqualifies me from most opportunities.

<div>‏My Struggles During the War
</div>

</div>
<div>‏During the war, I experienced unimaginable horrors. When random shelling began targeting our area, I was forced to flee my home with my family. We ran through the streets under heavy bombardment, surrounded by crowds of terrified people. Shrapnel hit those around us, and bodies collapsed to the ground. We couldn’t stop to help because stopping would have meant dying alongside them.

<div>‏I prayed to God throughout the entire journey to protect us and keep the shells away from us. The fear and terror were overwhelming, as we didn’t know if we would make it out alive.
</div>

</div>
<div>‏After fleeing, we lived in inhumane conditions. For 467 days, I cooked for my family using firewood because we had no gas, no electricity, and often no food. Our bodies grew weak and frail from malnutrition and exhaustion.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>‏The most devastating memory, however, was witnessing my neighbors’ house being bombed. I saw the bodies of children pulled from the rubble, lifeless and torn apart. Those scenes shattered me and left me crying for days, unable to process the pain and trauma.
</div>

<div>‏My Dream of Escaping Gaza and Building a New Life
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>‏After all the destruction and suffering, I began to dream of a future outside Gaza—a future where I can rebuild my life and pursue a better path. I want to leave Gaza to study fitness training and nutrition, to develop my skills, and to create a life full of hope and purpose.
</div>

<div>‏But achieving this dream requires significant support to cover:

<div>‏	1.	Exit fees from Gaza: Leaving Gaza costs at least $5,000 per person, a sum I cannot afford.
</div>
<div>‏	2.	Living and study expenses: I need support to cover tuition fees and living costs in a safe country.
</div>
<div>‏	3.	Restoring my health and strength: I need access to nutritious food and essential resources to recover from months of malnutrition and hardship.
