Story

On June 4th, 16-year-old Shiraj was shot in broad daylight in Lauderhill, Florida, along with his 17-year-old best friend. He was struck in a major artery in his leg and had to be rushed to the hospital in critical condition. By a miracle, both boys survived — but Shiraj is now facing multiple surgeries, a long and painful recovery, and months of physical therapy. His mother, Tiara Higgs, has had to stop working to be by her son’s side full-time. As Shiraj recovers from surgery and prepares for physical therapy and follow-up care, the family is facing mounting medical expenses, loss of income, and day-to-day costs that are becoming overwhelming. We are raising funds to help Tiara and Shiraj through this unimaginable time.
