Greetings friends, family members, fans, or strangers on the internet. Thank you so much for even just clicking on the link and listening to the plights of a man asking the internet for money.
For those of you who aren't familiar with yours truly my name is Lovell Rose, an aspiring young musician who's been working for the past 4 years as a young opera singer. Just recently I have been offered an incredible opportunity to be a part of the Vienna Summer Music Festivals production of Mozart's Die Zauberflöte as Papageno, and a cover for the role of Schaunard in Puccini's La Boheme.
Anyone from back home knows that I've been an avid lover of musical theatre, but through the study of opera theatre I've watched not only my voice develop but my musicianship tenfold. To be able to spend an entire month in Vienna studying directly under the leading professionals in this industry is an opportunity I can't afford to pass up... Only, at the time I can't afford to partake in it either.
The full tuition for the program is 4,250 euros, of which I've been offered a 1000 euro scholarship to help supplement the cost. That leaves 3,250e which translates to roughly $3900, which is paid for in 2 installments of $1,950 the first of which is due by April 1st.
I'm not asking you to pay for everything, I'm not asking you to make $500 donations (although, I'm not saying you CAN'T *wink* *sfx* *wink*...) I just want to make this as little of a burden on my family as possible. Alongside attending university as a full time student I'll be working as a staff singer, free lance vocalist, and doing whatever work I can to make these payments manageable.
By donating to this campaign, you will not only be directly helping this young (struggling) musician fulfill his dreams, but if this works out and by some miracle I manage to strike it big someday, you can look back on this very gofund me and say "Hey, I kickstarted that guy's career with a one time donation of XX dollars.
