Help Sherrie get home closer to Family for Treatment
Donation protected
Hi my name is Jason I am helping to fundraise for my sister. She recently has suffered from a serious stroke which resulted in a hemorrhage on her brain stem. One month ago our family received the call that Sherrie was life flighted to a local hospital in VA where she was currently residing for the last eight months. The news we received was that this type of bleed has a very low survival rate and that we needed to prepare for the worse and try to do all we could to get to her bedside to say our goodbyes. All our family from all corners of the United States started heading that way to where we could be by her side. I am happy to report that Sherrie has defied all odds, she has started to move her left arm, right arm and even pick her head off the bed. One eye is open, yet she still hasn't been able to regain her sight as of yet, but we are hopeful she will soon. She has started to moved both legs in bed and began to breath on her own with a tracheotomy. My sister is now ready to attempt long term rehabilitation, and this is where you come in. We are asking whoever is able, to help us raise enough funds so we can get our loved one transferred home to Maine so she can be closer to all her family. I told the hospital, ill grab her and get her up there, they did not agree with that and said it must be by professionals, what do they know, I watched a Youtube video, I'm professional! So here we are! Any and all prayers would be a huge help, and from the bottom of all our hearts we thank you for your sacrifice and generosity and Sherrie thanks you!
