HELP SHELTERING AND EVACUATING UKRAINIANS

Hi, my name is Yuliya.** I am a Ukrainian immigrant, and grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Thank you to everyone who donated and shared my fundraiser to evacuate my grandparents and family friends from Ukraine earlier this year. It’s been hard to update regularly, but thanks in no small part to your help, my grandparents are in Tulsa, OK and doing great (photo attached of them and our family)!!

Unfortunately, over the past few weeks, the situation in my hometown of Zaporizhia has severely escalated. Residential areas within the city itself are being shelled nearly every day and night, with many homes destroyed and lives lost (photos from within the city also attached).

The worsening circumstances have tipped the scales for several of my family and friends, who now see no choice but to flee their homes. The last holdout for many is a financial one. How can people leave with no form of income, limited social services, and a waiting period before receiving a work permit? The median monthly income in Ukraine is around $700/mo, so Ukrainian savings will not go far in the US.

I am humbly asking you to help me and my family alleviate that final worry, together, and provide them with enough basic necessities to make an immense decision a little easier in these tragic and extremely overwhelming times.

Please, consider helping my family and friends get to the United States where we can get them on their feet and provide some minimal degree of normalcy for them. We can’t do it without community support.
