At the beginning of this year, we were all celebrating Shelby being 10 years cancer-free. It was such a celebration. However, now just 6 months later, she has been diagnosed with cancer again. Shelby will be fighting another battle with cancer. Her surgery has been scheduled for September 11th in Bangor. We are praying they will be able to remove all the cancer, but the reality is, we will not know the full details until after her surgery. If they find the cancer has spread, she will need more aggressive treatment. This is a huge hardship, and when I mentioned a GoFundMe to Shelby, she was very reluctant, given the times we are in. We realize finances are so tough on so many right now.
