<div>Hi. My name is Tammy and I am fundraising for my best friend, <strong>Shawnda Holland and her family</strong>. Shawnda's husband, John, just had to have his right leg amputated above the knee as a result of complications from being diabetic. <strong>Shawnda and John lost their insurance on November 1, and that is when the emergency surgery happened.</strong> They have 7 children. The oldest and his wife are serving our country in the Marines. The other 6 children are still at home and in school. The family was already struggling to pay bills and trying to figure out what they were going to do for Christmas. With the added medical bills and the real possibility that John will not be returning to work, it puts even more financial burden on them. I am just trying to help get medical bills, house payment, utilities, car payment, phones, food, and regular monthly bills covered, along with trying to provide them all with presents and a good meal to help them have a great Christmas. The kids range in age from 19 to 5, with the 6 oldest being boys and the 5-year-old being the only girl. This is a really hard, life-changing event that has happened to them. They are a Christian family of faith and believe in the power of prayer, so your prayers are greatly appreciated. Anything you can spare will be greatly appreciated.
