<div><strong>Sergeant Shawn Coady </strong>(pictured with the cowboy hat) retired from the Vancouver Police Department to enjoy time with his wife Diane. They chose to settle in Armstrong BC on some acreage. <strong>Now, he is battling Cancer!</strong>

<div>The cancer is <strong>"Squamous Cell Carcinoma"</strong> which started in the back of his throat and has metastasized to his neck. The good news is that this is treatable. However, Shawn has to undergo <strong>radiation + chemo,</strong> and deal with some invasive and uncomfortable times ahead.

<div>Shawn is the president and founder of the<strong> Police and Peace Officers Memorial Ribbon Society, </strong>which began<strong> </strong>in the late 90s to help the families of fallen Police and Peace Officers throughout Canada. Thanks to Shawn's leadership, and those involved, the society has helped so many families with financial hardships. I have personally met some of those families and it's incredible what the PPOMRS does.<strong> NOW, Shawn Coady and his family need your support! </strong>
