Geachte dames en heren, 
 
Met diepe bezorgdheid delen wij u mee dat bij onze dierbare Shauqi Luciano Wirowidjojo (33 jaar) sarcoom kanker is vastgesteld. Deze zeldzame en agressieve vorm van kanker kan helaas niet in Suriname worden behandeld. Om hem een kans op herstel te geven, moet hij naar Nederland reizen voor de noodzakelijke specialistische zorg. 
 
De kosten voor deze behandeling, inclusief reis- en verblijfskosten, zijn echter enorm en helaas buiten het bereik van Shauqi en zijn familie. Daarom doen wij een dringend beroep op de gemeenschap voor financiële steun. 
 
Elke donatie, hoe klein ook, zal een enorme impact hebben en ons dichter bij het doel brengen om Shauqi de behandeling te geven die hij dringend nodig heeft. Samen kunnen we het verschil maken in zijn strijd tegen deze ziekte.

Update: 
 
Hoe het allemaal begon dit jaar 2024: 
 
Het is allemaal begonnen in januari,dat shaugi veel begon te hoesten en qua conditie achteruit ging tijdens het voetballen. 
 
Na advies van de huisarts is er een CT Scan gemaakt in maart en daaruit blijkt,dat ze een tumor hebben gevonden. 
 
In maart heeft Shaugi zijn eerste operatie gehad(biopt 1) en het ging goed. Het was maar een kleine snee bij zijn slokdarm. Want na 2 uur was hij weer op de zaal. Dus zijn lichaam kon de eerste operatie nog aan. Maar de artsen konden nog steeds niet zeggen of het een goedaardige of kwaadaardige tumor is. 
 
In April komt er een tweede operatie en Shaugi belandt dit keer op de intensive Care. Omdat het dit keer een zwaardere operatie was. Bij de rib onderkant rechts een hele grote snee en litteken aan overgehouden. 
 
De gevolgen hiervan: hij wordt snel moe, kan niet lang praten en fysiek moe en bij elke hap eten moet hij drinken. Shaugi weet ook dat hij voor altijd voetballen mag opgeven. Iets wat een offer is. Want Shaugi was elke week op het voetbalveld te zien. En inmiddels is hij in 2 maanden tijd al 8kg afgevallen. 
 
De uitslag van de tweede operatie: 

De tumor van Shaugi kan niet in Suriname weggehaald worden. Het kan wel in Nederland of in Colombia. Maar Suriname kan het niet doen. De tumor is dichtbij andere organen naast zijn hart. Wat Suriname alvast kan doen voor Shaugi is over 3-4 weken (Medio Juni) beginnen met een Chemotherapie. Om uitzaaiingen te voorkomen. Want wij zijn nu al al maanden verder vanaf de eerste scan foto. 
 
Maar om Shaugi in Nederland te behandelen zijn er hoge kosten verbonden. De familie heeft besloten om samen met vrienden, kennissen en anderen Shaugi een kans te geven.
