Help SERVPRO Families Hit by Storm!

HELP US HELP THEM HELP OTHERS

Hi, this is Bryan Stone, State Director for SERVPRO in Texas and Louisiana.  After Hurricane Harvey, we were in awe at the support the City of Houston, surrounding areas and our franchisees received from around the country after the devastating flooding there.  We watched as SERVPRO team members, friends and clients donated, served and prayed for all those affected.  Out of that, in part, the Help Never Rests movement was born. Now, another team needs our help.

Some of our very own SERVPRO family in Panama City, Florida, have been devastated by Hurricane Michael.  SERVPRO of Bay County's team has sustained a major blow to their business, homes, and community.  We want to rally behind the franchise owners, Sean and Kellie Grier, as they help get their team members back on their feet.

They had approximately 20-25 employees in their Bay County office before the storm hit. Thus far, only 5 have been able to return; many of them may not be coming back due to their homes being uninhabitable. There is low availability of temporary affordable housing, and that is at least 40 miles away.

Their current shop was damaged, and will likely be without power, internet, and water for at least four weeks. They had recently purchased a new building and now it is considered to be a total loss. Many of their vehicles were hit by falling trees.

Sean and Kellie are more concerned for their team's well being than that of their business and themselves.  They will be doing a needs assessment with everyone affected to get them what they need ASAP.  Anything you donate will be used to provide things like water, food, clothing, tarps, cleanup help, tools or resources and more.  We will have a better idea for who needs what as victims start returning to their community.  Any remaining funds, if there are any, will be donated to No Town Left Behind to support the community.

The bottom line is, the Grier's desperately want to help their employees and community in any way possible so that they can move forward toward normalcy. This includes returning to work so they can have a steady paycheck.

We know they are wired like all of our SERVPRO owners with the “Here To Help” mentality.  We want to make sure Sean, Kellie, and their SERVPRO family know we are “Here To Help” them as well.

Note:  Funds will be withdrawn and dispersed by the Grier's as they are able to identify the needs of their team and the community.
