Help Serbs Affected by Earthquake in Croatia

On December 28th and 29th 2020 a series of earthquakes, highest with the magnitude of 6.4 has affected Banija region of Croatia.  Seven people have died and many homes and other buildings have been severely damaged, including a significant damage done to several Orthodox Churches and cemeteries in the region.  Sasa Umicevic, a priest of the Petrinja parish of the Serbian Orthodox Church has informed the representatives of Association of Krajina Serbs-Prelo that the Serbian Orthodox Church Dioecies are opening an account for donations to raise funds to restore the heavily damaged churches and cemeteries and to assist the local Serbian population that has been adversely affected by the earthquake.  Association of Krajina Serbs-Prelo is asking anyone who can help to do so as soon as possible using this portal.  All funds raised will be forwarded to the Dioecies of the Serbian Orthodox Church so they can appropriately apply funds to the most needed areas.

Decembra 28og i 29og serija zemljotresa, najjači snage 6.4 stepena je pogodio područje Banije u Hrvatskoj.   Sedam ljudi je poginulo, uključujući dvoje dece.  Mongo kuća je uništeno ili oštećeno, ukljlučujući i velika oštećenja na Pravoslavnim crkvama i grobljima.  Saša Umičević, sveštenik crkvene opštine Petrinja je obavestio Udruženje Krajiških Srba Prelo iz Čikaga da Eparhija otvara namenski račun sa ciljem skupljanja sredstava za obnovu oštećenih crkava, groblja, kao i pomoć ljudima kojima je potrebna.  UKS Prelo poziva sve dobre ljude koji su u mogućnosti da nam pomognu da skupimo sredstva kojim ćemo pomoći da obnovimo Pravoslavni narod i zdanja na Baniji.
